The GFX system became even more appealing today with the release of a new telephoto lens, teleconverter, and two macro extension tubes – all available at participating GFX Authorized Dealers now!
These products open up a wide range of creative opportunities: the FUJINON GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR lens and GF1.4X TC WR teleconverter extends the existing GFX telephoto end, while the MCEX-18G WR and MCEX-45G WR macro extension tubes take photographers closer than ever before.
The new GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR is the longest focal length option for the GFX system. This newly developed lens allows you to produce stunning images at an equivalent 35mm focal length of approximately 198mm. Benefitting from Fujifilm’s decades of experience in imaging and lens manufacture, the GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR achieves fine detail and smooth, rich bokeh for outstanding results.
Additionally, the lens is capable of supporting even higher levels of detail than the 51.4 megapixel medium format sensor in the GFX 50S. This gives you not only the absolute highest levels of quality now, but also paves the way for the future.
To complement the release of the fantastic GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR lens, the compatible GF1.4X TC WR teleconverter is also now available. This teleconverter extends the focal length of the new lens to 350mm, translating to approximately 277mm in 35mm format.
The GF1.4X TC WR teleconverter offers 1.4x magnification while maintaining spectacular image reproduction and only reducing aperture by one stop. Add to this its weather-resistance and you have the perfect companion for outdoor wildlife shoots.
At the other end of the spectrum, there are also two new macro extension tubes available for the GFX system: the 18mm MCEX-18G WR and the 45mm MCEX-45G WR. These convert your existing GF lenses into macro lenses, giving you the opportunity to shoot a whole new world of miniature marvels with the kind of dazzling clarity and detail that only a medium format camera can provide. By combining the GF120mmF4 R LM OIS WR Macro lens with the MCEX-45G WR, you can achieve a 1:1 ratio on a 51.4 megapixel medium format sensor, revealing a breathtaking level of detail in the world around you.
