The second day of the FUJIFILM Festival in Venice, CA gave attendees the opportunity to expand their photography and videography knowledge with a series of workshops from some of country’s most respected photographic educators.
Whereas the first day had seen the 150 attendees take part in immersive day-long workshops with photographers Xyza Cruz Bacani, Omar Z. Robles, Elia Locardi and Michelle Turner, and video experts Andrew Primavera and Tehillah De Castro, day two was broken down into shorter sessions, presenting the opportunity to sample a range of genres. The workshops were based in fantastic locations around Venice, CA, which gave attendees the chance to sample the buzzing atmosphere in the famous beachfront suburb of Los Angeles.
After the workshops were complete, the attendees moved to the iconic Hotel Erwin where the learning opportunities continued into the early evening. Experts from FUJIFILM North America Corporation held a Tips & Tricks session where attendees could learn a whole host of neat ways to get more from their X Series and GFX system, while professional portfolio reviews were available with industry experts who provided constructive advice to delegates keen to get feedback on their work.
Attendees keen to learn more from the partners involved in this year’s FUJIFILM Festival took full advantage of Partner Hour, where representatives from Profoto, Ikan, GNARBOX, SmugMug, Flickr, and STOKED were on hand to demonstrate their latest products and talk about the services they offer. The partners and Fujifilm had also generously donated some amazing prizes to the FUJIFILM Festival 2018 giveaways, with the top prize worth in excess of $4500.
The FUJIFILM Festival concluded on Sunday with a public photo walk along Venice Beach boardwalk, where all were welcome.
