The FUJIFILM North America Corporation has announced a partnership with national nonprofit organization STOKED, with the aim of giving students hands-on industry experience and access to professional digital photography equipment and creative mentors.
“STOKED exists to create a community of fearless leaders,” commented the organization’s founder and president, Steve Larosiliere. “Photography is such a big part of action sports culture. Through this partnership we’re able to give students the high-level tools and mentors they need to realize a potential passion.”
STOKED hosted a mentoring session in Chicago this summer where young photographers were invited to shoot alongside X-Photographer, Gareth Pon. “FUJIFILM is thrilled to embark on this relationship with STOKED,” added Lisa Yang, Product Manager at the FUJIFILM North America Corporation. “We are committed to supporting the growth and development of youth in our local communities and we believe in the power photography has to impact perspectives and lives.”
