FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO Harnesses Your Camera’s Processor Power

Posted on

FUJIFILM has launched its FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO software, which uses the power of your camera’s X-Processor Pro engine to process X-Trans RAW files on computers.

Owners of selected X Series cameras, and the medium format GFX 50S can now experience a radically new way of processing RAW files on their Macs for free.

A firmware update to the X-Pro2, X-T2, X100F and GFX 50S provides support for FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO. The Mac version is available now and a Windows version is scheduled to follow in Feb 2018.

The software starts up when a camera is connected via USB, at which point users can select which RAW files they want to process. Changes can be made to brightness, white balance, and other common adjustments as usual. Images are then processed using the X-Processor Pro in their camera, delivering superb image quality and absolute consistency with in-camera JPEG files.

Conversion profiles can also be saved for future use, so there is no need to input your favorite settings manually each time. You will also be able to process your RAW files in batches, saving time and increasing productivity.

FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO software is available now from FUJIFILM.com.
