Omar Z. Robles
Omar Z. Robles is a FUJIFILM X-Photographer based in New York City. His interest in storytelling began with one man: Marcel Marceau. As a student in Paris, Omar learned how to interpret the world through subtle but riveting movements. His fascination with movement eventually led him to dance photography.
Although an accomplished street photographer, Omar is also known for his captivating images of dancers. He has amassed a large collection of visual stories told by the gentle flow of the dancers’ bodies. These narratives have been published by local and international media, including Mashable, Instagram’s Blog, The Phoblographer, The Huffington Post, The Daily Mail, Design Taxi, and Harper’s Bazaar.
Since 2014, Omar has shot exclusively with FUJIFILM X Series and GFX system cameras and lenses. He says that the cameras’ intuitive design and superlative image quality have let him feel more connected to his subjects than ever before.
