Daniel began working with FUJIFILM in 2015, and instantly became attached to his X Series gear thanks to its ability to help him capture unusual perspectives that are not commonly accessible. In this Showcase blog post, Daniel shares some of his shots from the US and Canada, as well as his thoughts on the subject of going the extra mile to capture great photographs.

"I believe in doing whatever it takes to make my images stand out from the crowd. That could mean hiking up a treacherous mountainside all night to capture the beauty of first light from an unseen perspective, or traversing an abandoned bridge 2,000 feet above the ground. Adventures like this can result in timeless moments and these are the images I like to capture. With this in mind, I set out on a road trip from Los Angeles to Seattle, accompanied by two talented friends and an arsenal of FUJIFILM X Series gear."
"We left LA for Oregon on a Tuesday afternoon, and after a sleepless, 16-hour road trip, we made it to our first destination – Abiqua Falls. Fortunately, we had a four-wheel drive car that allowed us to take the mile-long, off-road path to the trailhead for the falls. The abundance of massive trees and greenery were like nothing I had ever seen before.
"The hike down to the river was pretty intimidating, and required us to scale down a lengthy and steep hillside that was only accessible by a rope tied to an old tree at the top. We all made it down eventually and hiked alongside the river to our destination. I had never seen Abiqua Falls, so when we turned the corner and saw its jaw-dropping beauty for the first time, I was in awe."
"The size and capabilities of the X Series cameras also set them apart. One of my favorite features is the tilting LCD screen. This made it much easier to shoot difficult perspectives that cannot be seen through a viewfinder. The XF lenses are also very impressive, providing lightning-fast images of excellent quality, color and sharpness. The autofocus feature is also remarkably consistent and accurate across all subjects, and allowed me to make the most of every photo opportunity Mother Nature presented on these trips."
